Flavoured butter. Gourmet at it's simplest.

Add rustic basket (second hand stores are full of them.) or Modern dish and spreader.
Home made crackers, or bread.

Susan Austin's blog (freezer recipes & more.)
Recipes abound all over the internet, the basics are:
* room temperature butter or a bloody good blender if it is frozen ;)
* Any edible food, from herbs to flowers to fruit to fish to cheese and so forth. (As this can be made well ahead and frozen it is a great way to use left over fresh herbs, fruit etc)
* Mix, by hand or whatever.
* Shape, rolls are easy (as pictured above), ice "cube" shapes (almost endless possibilities here), fitted in a nice container, from second hand shop gems to takeaway style and everything in between.
* Made in advance is great, as this improves with time and freezes well. For use by information just consider the added ingredients and treat as usual,

Check out these pictures for inspiration...
The flavoring options are limitless.
